Summer Night Market 15

Yet another night down in Richmond. Only a few more weeks until the Summer Night Market closes for the year.

Twas only me, my brother and my cousin down at the stall. My uncle and aunt were there too. Can't really say it was an awesome day, but I guess it wasn't exactly a terrible day either. There was a semi-constant flow of customers at the beginning, but it died down closer to the end. Not many sandwiches or drinks were sold. Everything else did okay, or at least sold at their usual slow kinda day rates.

Nothing really happened during the day either. Saw lots of cute dogs. A few people from high school were there. Other than that, it was pretty much, an eventful day. =l

Sporadic One Shot Time!

Title: Love Letter, ラブレター
Author: Seo Kouji (瀬尾公冶)
Genre: Shounen, Drama, Historical, Romance, Tragedy

Kenn's comment: BAAAAAAAAAW T__T It's so sad. Based on the second world war. If there is someone who's still touchy about that war, you might want to stray away from it. If you're hardcore American and can only see things the American way, you should stay the hell away from anime all together. Anywho, this really is really sad. I mean, to sum it up, BAAAAW T_T. Oh, and as usual, his character design is super similar to all his other works xD.

Summary from MangaUpdates:
While Japan was at war with the world, their romance has just started... (^^" talk about short)

Song by Dixie Flatline. xD It's a cool sounding song, especially because it uses all of Crypton's Vocaloids. The video is cute too ^^".

Alrighty, so it was another night down in Richmond.

It was a usual day. Slow start, but it steadily picked up. Sales usually came in large clusters, one after another, leaving us scrambling to keep up with orders. Would love to have more space to work. The lack of space really affects how fast we can do things. Of course, it'd be virtually impossible to do that, since you'd need to move the entire row over.

Aside from that, nothing really spectacular really happened. Oh, I did watch a moth die in a plume of fire. Flew near a gas burner, and it was sitting near it for a bit before it's wing caught fire. Once that happened it just went poof. In a split second the flames went from it's wing tips to completely engulfing in insect. It wasn't the kind of fire I was expecting though. Was hoping for a burning moth to be flying around, but I guess it's insides were cooked from that. Crispy moth anyone?

Kagamiku Photo Gallery

Bought myself a hopelessly otaku Figma on thursday. Kagami/ Lucky Star (otaku) + Miku/ Vocaloid = 2 x Otaku? Anyways, had to spend a bit of time figuring out the movement range, and asking the nice folks @ Dannychoo.com about the how-to's of Figma's. ^^" I'm pretty sure I've got it down pat now.

^^" Kagami's expression when I asked her for some money, after blowing it all on her, and a hard drive. She's only lending me 1 yen. Not even worth a penny here.

When I asked her for more, she pulled that out was a warning. Taking that shot was actually pretty scary, because I was sitting below desk level, essentially under the hobby knife, which was balanced precariously on it's side. ^^" Luckily Kagami had a good grip on it, despite what it looks like.

Instead of the big hobby knife (which would be a spear / naginata for her), I let her play with a 1/144th scale Gerbera Straight. It's almost as tall as her xD

Since she's in a Miku outfit, I figured, "why not honour the musical aspect of Vocaloid?" She's perched up on a keyboard. ^^" I didn't take the angle into account and ended up getting a bit of pantsu in the shot. D: Sorry Kagami!
Kagami poses with 00 Gundam. Twin negi attack! ^^" Wouldn't know how effective that would be against enemies though.

^^" Posing with  蝦餃, the blog's title. Was a bit hard to find a pose for her, that wouldn't get her on the food. And ginger ale rocks btw.
create animated gif

6, 2, 5! You don't count the thumb! ^^" She's so cute. Will try to make this my profile picture later. Anywho, that's about all the photo's I took. Doesn't seem like that much now that I look at it, but maybe there will be more when I have the time ^^" Lots of stuff lying around my room, so the possibilities are endless xD.

Nice song, and even more, it's a KAITO x Miku pv. Hasn't been one a while. Anyways, my computer has been acting up lately. =( So sloooow now.

Yet another day at the night market. Decent day I suppose.

So the day started with me taking pictures of Kagamiku for the photo gallery that'll be up tomorrow, and hopefully, up on Figure.fm (Dannychoo.com). Maybe.

Anywho, went out to the restaurant to get the supplies, and something to eat. Had to make a stop at a gas station to fill up our propane tank. Once that was done, we were back on the road.

Health inspectors came and pretty much raised hell for a bit. Okay, so they didn't. They came in pretty early, so unless someone had a super busy stall, they shouldn't have bugged anyone too much. Anywho, the dude said our fridge, which tends to freeze the bottoms of all our containters, was too cold. Recently loaded up with a crap load of everything, and having been opened a gazillion of times, it's not too hard to see why the temperature wasn't t it's optimum yet. Anywho, followed his instructions and loaded up everything, and I mean everything, with enough ice to sink the Titanic four times over. Ice under there, on top of that, inside those, absolutely everywhere. The folks beside us got an earful, since I'm pretty sure their inspector was a whole lot more strict than the dude we got. Our other neighbours got a real chill one. Even more so than ours, who was anything but chill, unless you count telling us to lower the temperature of the fridge.

Everyone was stressed to the max for a while, as we waited for the final assessments to come in. "I'll be back in a half hour." Fuck that shit. He came back in at least an hour. He showed up for a few minutes and left with only short gesture of approval...I think.

After he left, everyone was relieved. Not too much stress anymore. Back to the usual. The rest of the day followed suit. Chubb's grill was up in flames. Watched them try to put the fire out without the use of a fire extinguisher, since that would just kill their grill. Towels and water bottles ftw. Got a lot of free stuff from nearby vendors too. Fun stuff lol.

Anywho, I'm just finishing up the photos for the gallery now, and you'll probably see it up sometime tomorrow, if not, than Sunday or Tuesday at latest...hopefully.

Song of the Week - 愛愛愛

Not the newest of songs, and yes, it is in Mandarin.

Title: 愛愛愛, (Ai Ai Ai)
Artist: 方大同, Khalil Fong
Genre: Pop (Chinese)

Single: N/A
Album: This Love

Vintage: 02/01/07

Kenn's Comment: xD I love this song! There's also an acoustic version on the album...or was it the album after that...Anywho, yes, it's in mandarin, and no, I can't understand it. I would if it was Cantonese, but it's not. The melody is awesome, and it's all together a good song.

On another note, I'll have a photoshoot for Kagamiku when I have time later today, or on Tuesday when I'm free.

Running around in Richmond, blowing hard earned cash on expensive stuff man. Testing out a new code while I'm at it too. Can't figure out how to use it, so I'll go without it for now. Figured it out now, and it's currently in use for the latest post.

The day started with walking to Jason's place. Had to wait for my brother to get home so I could leave.

Launched at around 1, got there at around 1:30. Yes, it takes quite a long time to walk to Jason's. Anywho, once I got there, we almost immediately set off for the newly built Canada Line, a new route to Richmond, cutting our travel time down immensely. Ed had his U-Pass, and us chumps (Jason and I) who aren't in a university had to pay up or get tazed. Spent at least $10 on fare alone today.

First sstop, my folk's restaurant. We had lunch, and possibly breakfast if one of us skipped it, there. All three of us got Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef with rice and Vietnamese slaw). Good stuff. I got my usual 3 coloured bean desesrt, while Ed got a strawberry shake. Jason wanted to be adventurous, and got a Preserved Plum in Soda. He didn't like it. At least he wasn't a prick, and finished it.

Anywho, second stop was Richmond Center, where I got my first Figma, Kagamiku (Hiragii Kagami in a Miku outfit, from the Lucky*Star OVA). Costed me a good $40. Otaku's must be really rich.

Third stop, Landsdowne Center, where we went hunting for external hard drives to relieve me of my endless hard drive space needs. Checked out Best Buy, but they didn't have the one I was looking for. Twas on sale, and twas all sold out. Sad face. And thus, we went to Future Shop. The model I was looking for wasn't even there, but there was one of similar price. Picked it up there. Costed me $145.

Fourth stop was Aberdeen Center. We went running around here. Ran into Jennifer, who poked me, probably in revenge for all the times I've poked her. Bad things happened here man. Ed's never gonna let it die. Not gonna blog about that. It's gonna be wiped out of my memory. NOT GONNA REMEMBER IT.

Anywho, while we were there, Ed played a game or two at the "arcade", or Game Corner, though it's not a corner, and we went to walk some more. Ended up walking to Yaohan, where we walked around, as Ed made fun of me. He was actually doing it the entire day. Anywho, ended up walking back to Aberdeen, getting on the train, and then trying to figure out what to do next. Spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to think of what to do.

Ended up deciding to retreat back to Jason's place. Hung around for a few minutes before going to get food at McD's. Was too poor to afford anything. Got two snackwraps. Was all I could afford. $3.97.

And that's pretty much the day. xD Oh. and...Spider spider spider! Spider air! Goro power!

Coming Soon for the PSP

Title: Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny
Publisher: Namco
Genre: Fighting (3D)

Release Date: 08/27/09 (jp), 09/01/09

Kenn's Comment: Hmm. Another installment of Namco's Soul Calibur series. My favourite part of this game would probably be the character creation. =l Hopefully I can create Saber :] Anywho, I'll check this one out when it comes around in a few days.

Coming Soon for the PSP

Details after the jump.

Title: Shin Megami Tensei Persona, ペルソナ
Publisher: ATLUS
Genre: RPG

Release Date: 04/29/09 (jp), 09/22/09 (NA)

Kenn's Comment: >DD PERSONA!! FOR THE PSP!! Well, ahem, anywho, I've read that there have been a few changes in this port of the game. I'm probably not going to mind it as much as other people, which have shown their dislike of "crappy jpop". I'm hoping the dub of the game doesn't kill it (I'm also hoping for the option of Japanese voice-overs instead). Anywho, there's few a more games I want to introduce, so I'll be back.

Yet another day at the night market. Again, more after the jump.

Didn't have enough people to man the stall, since one of my cousins has today off. However, one of us (brother or me) has to stay home to look after our sister. To solve this, we brought her out to our folk's restaurant. Against my suggestions, she went out to the night market with us.

A fairly consistent day. Orders pretty much came one after another. It wasn't until nearer to the end of the night market day that things slowed down. No crazy orders today.

My sister, being a brat, started to cry. No one really knows why, but that's one of the reasons I really didn't want her to go out to the market. There's no one there to play with her. We're all busy. She's an attention whore, and she probably was bored out of her mind. I told her about that, but no one seems to be listening to me. Then again, there was gonna be a party at the restaurant, and the situation there wouldn't be much different from the night market. She needs a friend we can dump her on, or I need a friend willing to take her in a for a day or something. Free of charge. Maybe someone with young children or something >.>

Saw Ivy and Connie earlier in the day. Didn't notice Ivy the first time. Tried to wave to Connie, but ended up hitting the oven and had a hand in pain for a minute or two.

Anywho, had to double time the clean up at the end of the day because my cousin had to get to Blockbusters to return rented dvds.

Wax is so hard to wash out of hair without shampooing. Bah

Title: ヴァンパイア十字界, Record of the Fallen Vampire
Author: Shirodaira Kyou (story), Kimura Yuri (art)
Genre: Shounen, Tragedy, Action, Drama, Supernatural, Romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy
Serialized in: Square Enix Shounen Gan Gan
Total Volume Count: 9

Kenn's Comment: This ain't your Twilight. The main character goes through hell, and pretty much stays there, and you can't help but feel sorry for him. All the lemons that life gives him xD And you can't lemonade outta the lemons that life gave him. Almost every main character has some sort of tragic ordeal going on. It's awesome like that. Not overly depressing, but it ain't Yotsuba&. By the way, while it's a story about vampires, don't go in thinking about Twilight. These ain't your usual vamps.

Summary from MangaUpdates:

There is a legend that tells of how the world was almost destroyed thousands of years ago by the vampire queen after she unleashed her latent powers. Despite their efforts, the humans were unable to defeat her, and thus resorted to sealing her away until the time came that they would be powerful enough to destroy the seal and kill her. However, the humans are not the only ones after the seal. Having cast aside his kingdom and betraying his own race and the dhampirs (half-vampires), the vampire king is persistantly searching, even to this day, for where his queen has been sealed away so he may break the seal and free her before the humans do. Fearing that once the king and queen are reunited, they shall continue to destroy the world together, the humans and dhampirs hunt the king, using any method possible.

Another day at the night market. Will be there again tomorrow. ^^" Working all weekend. More after the jump.

One of my cousins had his "day-off" today, so it was me, my brother and my cousin (I have two older cousins), and my uncle. Later on, my cousin's friend came over to helps.

It got pretty hectic, with sandwich orders coming in constantly, while we tried to replenish stocks of salad rolls. Eventually ran out of supplies for certain things, so we stopped selling them.

Talked a bit funny today, using various accents. Ahaha, was bored and tired. The stall across from us has a cat. Super cute. I want a cat. xD Anywho, that's all, and I'll see y'all tomorrow morning for a Manga of ze Week, which I'm still trying to think of.

Black Rock Shooter Anime

Hell yeah. You read that right. Details after the jump.

Supervisor Yukata Yamamoto and his studio, Ordet, are working on a pilot episode for a possible anime production of Supercell's popular song, Black Rock Shooter. It's shipping on September 30th, and comes with a new recording of said song, as well as a new PV, animated by Ordet. Ryo and Huke (Supercell) are supervising the project, but Shinobu Yoshioka is the actual director for the pilot/series.

Hell yeah. Peeps, I be excited y'all. This is cool stuff man. xD Just goes to show how popular Miku/B*RS is. How this turns out is anyone's guess, but the fact that it's happening is quite a feat for Supercell and Miku xD

Images from the official project site.

Anywho, expect to hear from me again later in the day after I get back from work in about 10 hours xD

The song was ranked #1 on the Weekly Vocaloid Rankings this week, along with two other Rin songs coming in second and third. She owned the charts xD

Anywho, it's a good song, and the PV is gorgeous. See y'all next week! Actually later today.

Image by someone, it's a CG from a game I think xD

Alrighty, so twas another day at the night market. Fairly consistent, but in the end, we didn't make as much as I thought we would. Balls to that. More after the jump

I woke up feeling marvelous. My injured hip felt fine, as if it wasn't injured. However, after a ride in the car, my hip exploded in pain. It felt like a knife went from my knee up to the hip again and again. Thusly said, unloading the car was a real chore for me. After a few hours of standing, my hip's injury felt non-existent. Carrying things still wasn't any fun.

A sudden downpour at the beginning caught us off guard, and it really soaked some of our stuff. It stopped after around 10 minutes.

Made sandwiches. Lots of them. When someone ordered them, the orders would just flood in. Had an order of 4, followed by three more. Moved to man the front for a bit, while my cousin rolled up some salad rolls.

Sold out of most of the stuff we brought. Didn't bring that much stuff, so it's not that great of a thing to look at.

It was really cold in the night. The wind, and the fact that I was cleaning equipment didn't make it any warmer. Quite the opposite really.

Went to Wendy's and got some Frosties. Yes, counter intuitive, but what the hell. xD That's all, nights y'all.

Song of the Week - Cross My Heart

Sorry about the video. Universal doesn't let people embed videos.

Title: Cross My Heart
Artist: Marianas Trench
Genre: Pop/Punk

Kenn's Comment: Great song. It's made even better by the fact that the band is hometown talent. Awesome song. Platinum in Canada. ;D

Another Day of Hunting

Yes, you read the title right. Another day of hunting. More after the jump.

Planned this yesterday, with Ed and Jason. Jason told us that we could come after lunch, and leave before dinner, because he had cleaning to do. And so, I left at 1:30 ish (after lunch) and hobbled up the hill ( I hurt my right hip earlier in the week, and yes, I'm that old) to get to his place. The walk was brutal. My limp didn't help, and the heat was just beating down on you. But, there were lots of trees for shade, and there was a nice breeze today. Felt very nice under the shade of the trees.

Anywho, got to Jason's house, but he was still asleep, cuz I didn't think I'd need to give him a call to wake him up. Rang the door bell a few times, and went on eBuddy to chat outside his door. He wasn't on. Chatted with people for almost a half hour before Ed showed up. Ed gave Jason a ring, and I finally reached the destination.

Started with Diablos to upgrade Sword of Diablos, and then Khezu for Ed's Khezu Thunder Maul. Killed a plesioth for no raisin, and proceeded to kill a Ucamulbus for my urgent. After that, we went a finished off Ed's quests to unlock the Uca quest, which we then did later. To finish the day up, we tried to kill a Fatalis, but ended up repelling it. Boo. Only have 8-900 HP left. Anyways, that was my day. xD Ciao for now

High and Mighty Color

No, it's not a friday. This is not a Song of the Week. More after the jump.

It's High and Mighty Color's latest song, with the debut of their new vocalist, Haruka, taking Maki's place in the band. Haruka's voice is quite similar to Maki's, although it does sound a tad bit lower. Hoping they stick to their style of light rock (pop-rock-ish sound) with their new vocalist.

So The Guild is a production sponsored by Microsoft and they're kind of like a gaming sit-com. Support them by purchasing the song (if you want it) at either iTunes or Amazon.

So...sad...so beautiful...more thoughts after the jump. Has spoilers for those of you who haven't finished or are planning to watch CLANNAD (both seasons).

Summer Night Market 9

Another day at the night market. A good day for a Sunday. More after the jump.

Alrighty, so everyone was down there. The usual crew, plus my uncle's family (from Texas) and my grandma, and eventually my cousin's boyfriend's family. So there were lots of people there. A certain worker set-up resulted in efficient use of staff and space, which translated to less time waiting for good food.

While delivering a sandwich to a nearby vendor, I ran into a steel beam. Smacked the top of my head into it while jumping over a pipe. It hurt like a bisnitch for a few hours, and gave me an odd sensation in my throat. I hope I don't die from an aneurism in the night or something.

Saw Jason Tan and his girlfriend come by. Chatted with him for a bit, and had to get back to work. Sold out everything we brought (though we brought less than usual, in anticipation of the Sunday).

Anywho, that's about it for that. xD Perhaps something will happen tomorrow?

Manga of ze Week - 花と悪魔

Alrighty, so this week's manga of the week is Hana to Akuma! More details after the jump.

Title: Hana to Akuma, 花と悪魔, Flower and Devil
Author: Oto Hisamu
Genre: Shoujo, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance, Supernatural
Serialized in: Hakuensha Hana to Yume
Total Volume Count: 5 (on going)

Kenn's Comment:
Its a pretty good manga. I like the interactions between Vivi and Hana. xD Hana's so cute! It's a nice light comedy with all of Hana's antics. Sorry, about that. Haven't read it in a while. Will have to. xD

Summary from MangaUpdates:

15 years ago Vivi, the demon, decided to leave the demon realm and come to the human world. There he found an abandoned baby and on a whim decided to keep it. Since then he lives together with Hana...but having a 14 year-old girl around you, is it really that simple?

Working down at the night market again. Really busy. More after the jump.

It started out with a trip to the restaurant to pick up food and materials for the market, which then went to Shopper's drugmart to pick up stuff to make signs. While we set up, my cousin toiled away at his artistic signs.

Business really picked up later in the day, with rapid fire orders. Struggled to keep up. One order was 6 Vietnamese sandwiches. Now, one or two is normal, but 6? That's quite a number. And after the six, there were another 3.

Constantly ran out of salad rolls and papaya salad (affectionately called "pap salad"). Lots of rolling behind the scene...or probably behind me.

Anywho, you probably won't see this, but happy birthday Billy. (Guy from the stall to next door)

Oh and GL > N

Two videos this time, because Proof of Life is Rin's answer to Len's Soundless Voice.

Valshe's version of Soundless Voice. Her singing is awesome as always. Anywho, as I said, Proof of Life is the answer to Soundless Voice. If you can understand the lyrics, you'll see. Sad songs they are.

Title: 君の知らない物語, Kimi no Shira nai Monogatari, Made to Be
Artist: supercell
Genre: Pop

Single: 君の知らない物語 (Bakemonogatari Ending Single)
Album: N/A

Vintage: 12/08/09

Kenn's Comment: Awesome song. Currently my favourite song. Supercell is known for their extensive work with the Vocaloid programs, and former NND singer, Gazelle joins the crew for their first non-vocaloid debut. The song definitely has the "supercell" feel to it, with the usual instruments (guitar, bass, drums and piano). Hope to see and hear more of Supercell's works!

Another day of hunting @ Jason's. More after the jump.

Hoo. Left at around 1:40 again today, and got to Jason's at 2 something. Grabbed Church's instead of KFC this time around. Spicy Thigh Sandwich burned =(.

Anyways, while waiting for Ed to arrive, we hunted stuff, and completed my Rathalos X armour, and tried to complete my Tigrex greatsword, but them tigrex are real annoying. Hunted them for a while, actually hunted them until Ed came, and hunted them again with three people. Made it a whole lot easier. Got my stuff, and made my sword. It's currently the strongest great sword I have.

After the tigrex runs, we went on to hunt Diablos and other things Ed needed. Pink rathian (G Rank) in less then five minutes anyone?

Had some Chinese food for dinner. This lifestyle can't be good for me. xD At last I had lots of water?

Finished up by killing a Yama Tsukami. Walked home at around 1:10.

Will have the Song of the Week and Weekly Vocaloid Feature up shortly.

A Day of Hunting

@ Jason's with Ed til midnight! The actual post after the jump.

Otay. So Ed's Monster Hunter file was supposedly corrupted and dead, so Jason (and later me) were going to rush him up to hunter rank 9. After a little investigation, Ed found a file of his that was still alive and somewhat recent. Hunted at least 15 blangongas, and that's just the regular colour. After the mountain runs, we went to kill Rathalos for divine plates. With Ed's bad luck, we made a killing. I'm currently at 1,000,000+ zeny, and still killing Rathalos for material. "orz

Anywho, went to the usual Japanese restaurant for dinner. Tonkatsu with miso soup, rice, ohitashi, and Japanese pickles. Quite filling. Ed had something a tad bit small, and Jason had something a tad bit too large. In the end, we went back to hunt some more. Didn't leave til 1 in the morning. 7 hours of hunting!!

Btw, just as a side note, I'm working on a rather ambitious Kaihaku project. If I manage to get it done, it'll probably be within the next year or so. xD Long wait, yes, but I'm sorta new to the animation programs and stuff. e_e"

Souvenir Exchange

Went to Jason's for some gaming and fun today. More on the day after the jump.

Alrighty, so today I went to Jason's place (first time in a long time) to hunt (play Monster Hunter). While I was there, I figured it'd be a good time to give him the souvenirs I got him from Texas. The photo up there is pretty much what I got him. I also got him a Texas Card, a joke item that's pretty much like "I've Been to Texas" thing. Anywho, had a little fun with the finger trap, figuring out ways to get your fingers out without using any outside forces, so no other fingers other than the ones stuck in the trap. His fingers are pretty small, so it was a bit easier for him.

From Japan, Jason brought back a bunch of stuff, and I got to pick what I wanted. Had the choice between bottle cap dudes, or the Mugen beer. As you can see, I went with the Mugen beer. Wahaha, it's pretty fun, but I can't let my younger cousins play with it. I showed it to him and he was pulling the tab like there was no tomorrow. =="

Extra video here. Blogger doesn't like videos uploaded to Photobucket. =l

Anywho, went to KFC to grab lunch, because every hunter needs to be well fed before heading out. Hunted for 4-5 hours before we ran out of things to do. Went on the net, watched a few College Humour things. Hilarious stuff. Read a bit of manga, and then headed home.

My younger cousins are very loud. Watching TV with them just makes me want to pump the volume. Chilled with the dog for a bit. Day end o:

Blog Update: Gonna be Busy

Left: SVMS-01O Over Flag
Center: GN-0000+GNR-01 "00 Raiser"
Right: MBF-P02 Astray Red Frame

Ah yes. I got the 0-Raiser (1/100 scale) for my 00 Gundam. It's smexy, yes, but also obnoxiously heavy. Anyways, the rest of my day's after the jump.

So I woke up early, since I had plans to go out to see a movie with friends. Was up, started anime downloads and what not. The rest of the folks went out for dim sum, while I stayed behind, assuming I'd be gone by the time they got back. Boy was I wrong. They copped out, leaving me with nothing to do, virtually home alone.

After a good 4 hours of almost nothing, the folks came back. Did a few things, and talked a bit before heading off to Metro to pick up something for a cousin who had cried because he couldn't get something he wanted. While we were there, I picked up the 0 Raiser, and my brother picked up a box of Glico instant curry. Gonna make curry. Hopefully, it doesn't end up like Kana and Chiaki (Minami-ke), if you remember that episode. My cousin got a rather expensive Lego model of the Rebel Gunship, or something like that.

Anywho, swung back home for dinner outside. The bees were everywhere, and very interested in the ribs for some odd reason. Gave some of the ribs to the dog. He needs love too. The bees got on my nerves, so I fled indoors. Went to the park to play with the Frisbee, and burned lot's of energy.

And there you have my day. ;D

Summer Night Market 7

Slow day. More after the jump.

Had to move stuff to get enough room to sit in my cousins car. While moving, he hit the gas, running over my foot. Wasn't fun, but it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. After that, it was the same routine of setting stuff up. People came in waves. It was like Horde mode in Gears of War. You occasionally have one or two people, but most of them came in big groups and orders came by the dozens. Hard to keep up.

My math is terrible, and even giving change wasn't fun. Got it though. Needs cash register to do money. Bah.

Hit Wendy's after for some food. Honey something chicken wings for me, along with fries and a root beer. Found a spider in my room. Got my cousin to kill that. There's still one in my closet, but as long as he stays in there, I'm cool with him.

Relatives coming over from Texas on Monday. It's Mandy and Jason. Been cleaning up the house in preparation. It's the cleanest I've ever seen the house. Like the whole house was cleaned. Ahaha, it's pretty cool.

Might do a Tour of Kenn's Area later this week. If the weather permits of course. Might be cool to do it in the rain, but I don't have an umbrella, since a friend bent mine out of shape. Anywho, look forwards to that whenever it gets done. ;D

Manga of ze Week - Bloody Monday

Title: Bloody Monday, ブラッディ・マンデイ
Author: Ryuumon Ryou (story), Megumi Kouji (art)
Genre: Shounen, Action, Drama, Sci-Fi
Serialized in: Kodansha Weekly Shounen Magazine
Total Volume Count: 11 + Ver.0

Kenn's comment:
Pretty good if I do say so myself. The plot really doesn't sit still for a chapter, so it keeps you on your toes in terms of trying to figure things out. While the story is about a genius, it's not like Death Note, where Light pretty much can handle everything because he's calm, cool and collected. The main character in this makes mistakes that a human would, and I've seen reviews saying that the manga sucked because of that. I bet they were hard core Death Note fans.

Summary from MangaUpdates:

Weekly Vocaloid Feature - Just Be Friends

This is for all those broken hearts, and people fresh from a break ups. More versions after the jump.

Alrighty, so this week's vocaloid feature is Just Be Friends, sung by Megurine Luka. The lyrics are from the boy's perspective, and I'm still looking for one from the girl's perspective. Anyways, it's a good song by Dixie Flatline, and the PV is very nice too.

あにま ver.

I like this version a lot, mainly because it's sung by a guy, in a guy's perspective. Anima's got a good voice too.

A like this version a lot too. It's interesting, although it's mainly sung by セリユ. There's another two-person (B+G) version, but I won't put it up. You can click here for it though. It's good too.

A ballad arrangement of the song. Very nice too. There's another piano version out there that's faster than this one. Sung by a guy that time. It's here if you want it.

It's over! Endless Eight Ended!

After 8 grueling episodes of the same thing with minute changes every episode, we can finally let out a collective sigh of relief. Now let's hope they don't pull any stunts like that again. If the series what run a-chronologically, that would've been so painful to watch. "orz

Just to show a certain someone that A-tan (pronounced Ah-tan) does make an appearance in the anime. I think that's from episode 10 of Hayate no Gotoku!! (second season)

Title: Tatoue Moi (Tattoo Me)
Artist: Mikelangelo Loconte
Genre: Pop

Single: Mozart L'Opera Rock
Album: N/A

Vintage: 06/04/09

Kenn's Comment: Yes it's a French song. It shot straight up to 1st on the French charts. I used it for a French assignment in twelfth grade because I really liked the melody, and the chorus was sooo catchy. Sent it to a few friends, they got it stuck in their heads, and so did the class when they heard it. It's such a lovely song. Kinda racy though. Ahaha, the lyrics that is.

Flowers and Stars

Just an update on series I'm watching. Nothing to blog about yet. Testing a new code I found.

Cap from episode 18 of the second season of Hayate no Gotoku! ;D Hina's so cute. The new ending doesn't do the series justice. Nagi doesn't have a chance at romance. While she may be the main heroine, Hina and A-tan both probably stand a better chance at romance with our unlucky, poor-faced butler.

Caps from the fourth episode of Sora no Manimani. The stars and sky are absolutely stunning. That last one with the sunrise was beautiful to watch. Hime's gonna get more competition in the next episode o:

Electric Angel VOCAROCK

Mmm. Rock version of an awesome song. The guitar is awesome xD. Love this version. And no, this isn't a Vocaloid Feature, since it's already been done.

Aights y'all, I've been walking (don't has car) down memory lane, when I came across one of my childhood faves. The Power Rangers! Also known as the Super Sentai in Japan, where it originated. Over here in North America, I'd say that the best one was the second season of Might Morphin' Power Rangers. The Thunderzord was probably the best of the 3. Coolest of them all. The Ninjazord was funky. Anywho, the White Ranger rocks. The North American version of the super sentai series doesn't exactly match up, and mixes a whole bunch of the Japanese series together. The first 3-4 seasons of Power Rangers were the best. The rest of them just went down hill and got worse and worse. Especially after Adam and Tommy left the crew. They were the best.

All the openings of the Zordon era Power Rangers.

Yes. The song for the first three seasons was awesome. The drums and guitarists are awesome. The only thing that I had a problem with was the vocalist. He sucked ass. Get someone better up there pl0x. Keep the band though.

On another note, the Thunderbirds are awesome too. Used to watch it all the time. Even before the Power Rangers. Yes, I'm that old. They were awesome, and the Hollywood rendition didn't do this justice.

Now 10 times as dangerous

Weekly Vocaloid Feature - Funiculì, funiculà

Ain't that just the cutest thing? Not only can Luka speak English and Japanese, but she can sing in Italian too! The Tako-Luka's are just adorable. x3 Props to SeikoP for the Vocaloid rendition of the classic Italian song. Original song by Peppino Turco.

Oh, and here's the english lyrics to the Italian song. From Wikipedia.

Yesterday evening, my love, I went up,
do you know where?
Where this ungrateful heart cannot spite me any more!
Where the fire burns, but if you flee
it lets you be!
And it doesn't chase you, it doesn't burn you, to see the sky!...
Let's go together, let's go there,
funicular downhill, funicular uphill!

Let's go from the ground to the mountain, my love! Without walking!
You can see France, Procida and Spain...
and I see you!
Pulled by a rope, no sooner said than done,
we go to the skies..
We go like the wind all of a sudden, go up, go up!
Let's go together, let's go there,
funicular downhill, funicular uphill!

We've climbed it, my love, we've already climbed to the top!
It has gone, then returned, then come back...
It is still here!
The empty empty summit, around, around,
around you!
This heart still sings
and is not petulant
Let's be married, my love!
Let's go together, let's go there,
funicular downhill, funicular uphill!
